When I started Alma's Soulfood, I imagined it would be filled with pictures like this. But the way we use the web has changed. People no longer think blogs have to have a theme or be about anything. Now the only thing I would change about this are the flour tortillas. I prefer corn, but good ones are hard to get in Toronto.

Que Huevos!

We met a food stylist from NYC at a luau in Kaui (?) who told us about the hair spray and other things he used to make food glisten long after its shelf life. Is that what you've done here?

I'd be curious to know if our Hispanic stores in BRANDON (thanks to the arrival of El Salvadoran, Colombian, Honduran, Mexican and other Spanish speaking immigrants)have "good" or just passable tortillas and other items ... the BEST though, is the little 17 seat Mexican cafe in an old down town hotel run by a family with a LONG history of running restaurants back in Mexico ... I love the changing demographics of Westman !!!
