Okay ... let's review: - "could watch the lobby channel ALL day" - boy's tag hanging out - good natured teasing ...
Hmmm ... as the parent who has provided the LIONS' share of care for my three over the last few years - I know what FATHERS are capable of doing for their children, and I have no DOUBT whatsoever that Aaron offers just such care for his family.
So my comment was a good natured jab at a friend - nothing negative nor bad implied - just some teasing given the context of "didn't anyone notice the dreads?"
I noticed, but on first glance I just thought the little guy needed a better brush ...
No offense taken here...in fact, I understand what you're saying Rev. Shawn. I'm out with Amado a lot and people often seem flabbergasted that a man is out with his baby alone. I can tell that some people make the assumption that I couldn't possibly care for Amado properly, being a man and all. I think we do just fine though, Amado and I, when we're out on the town.
When I first moved to Santa Cruz from the Mojave Desert I suddenly saw men all over the place carrying babies and pushing them in strollers, etc. My immediate and initial response was that they were all kidnappers!
Alma's Soulfood WAS mainly about sharing baby pictures with scattered family and friends. But now we've obviously given this blog over to the kid as he's grown older :-)
Well, what I want to know is, Who are those people and why are they blindfolded?
ReplyDeleteMa'am, we aren't able to share that information.
ReplyDeleteWould you put that boy's TAG back in?! Geez!
ReplyDeleteYou ALL need to get out more ...
ReplyDelete... then again, atleast you're not watching soaps, the shopping channel, Springer or Oprah ...
as for the blindfolds ... what happened to Toronto the Good??
You know, Katie...I noticed the tag too....must be a mom thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd nobody noticed the three dreads? Are dreads that passe?
ReplyDeleteAaron, I had to make the picture larger to see the dreads...wow! how cool..does Wendy know about this?
ReplyDelete"The Three Dreads": Two blindfolded people and one tech wizard on keyboard...
I noticed the dreads ... I thought he had something caught in the hair on the back of his head ...
ReplyDeleteafterall, the implication seems to be that Dad and lad are home alone a fair bit and ... well ... um ... oh!!?? ...
'nuff said ...
Rev. Shawn be careful!
ReplyDeleteWho is anonymous?? and what are attempting to be odd about?
