3 People I Could Have Shaken Hands With...

Either I was too shy, or I didn't want to intrude, but I have been within arm's length of these three people and yet didn't extend my arm to shake their hand. I wish I would have now.

1. Sen. Ted Kennedy
2. Cesar Chavez
3. The Dalai Lama

  1. Aaron, I'm the same way with fame and greatness. (Secret Service probably wouldn't have let you touch a fingertip though...)

  2. I was at a party with Ted Kennedy and his wife in Georgetown in 2005. I don't think there were Secret Service there, but who really knows?

  3. I probably would have been too self-conscious to shake his hand. But today I feel a great sadness for his leaving and a great appreciation for all he did for our country.
