This is a very sad story. I don't know if I feel it any more now because I am a new dad and know the feeling of wanting to do anything for my family. It's just sad.

We were on that road one year being "vanned" back to Galice after a week long rafting trip on the Rogue River. I remember thinking as I looked out the van windows into the wilderness how incredibly isolated we were and even surrounded by the beauty how good it felt to be headed back to civilization. This story sad indeed...
