Song

The weight of the world
is love.
Under the burden
of solitude,
under the burden
of dissatisfaction
the weight,
the weight we carry
is love.
Who can deny?

(From “Song” by Allen Ginsberg. Read the whole poem here.)

I LOVE Ginsburg. How about that Sunflower Sutra? Is that great or what?

  2. Yes, I love Allen Ginsburg too. I have audio recordings of a lot of his poems (along with other Beat poets). I love listening to them..

"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix, angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night...."
