Love the art. I've never envisioned African mermaids before, assuming, as white folks do, that mermaids were white. T
ReplyDeleteYes, they are beautiful! There must be something about mermaids these days because they are appearing everywhere (Starbuck's logo, Santana album covers, national musuems, etc.) I'm on the look out for them!
ReplyDeleteI saw this slideshow on the NY Times site, and it's inspiring me to create an artwork for an upcoming show...but now I can't go ANYWHERE without seeing mermaids! LOL!
