That's me in June 1963, getting ready to take my uncle's MG for a spin around the neighbourhood, which I believe was El Monte. I must have been drooling over the opportunity, as you can see I was wearing not one, but two bibs for this big adventure.
Bam Bea used to say, "Who do you think you are, Juan Fangio?" anytime she witnessed some dare devil driving. Fangio was "the master of Grand Prix" 50 years ago and I remember her comment when looking at this photo, "Our own Juan Fangio". (and from the looks of it you're wearing not one, but two diapers in addition to the bibs....)
Alma's Soulfood WAS mainly about sharing baby pictures with scattered family and friends. But now we've obviously given this blog over to the kid as he's grown older :-)
