Hmmm...interesting how you remember your grandmother. What's up with the milk-like substance?

  2. Well, it's supposed to be arty, which I learned so much about from Bambea. Perhaps I wasn't successful though? Anyway, that's just spilt milk.

Oh, Aaron..of course it is arty which pretty much sums up your grandmother...sorry I didn't recognize the artyness right off the bat! In Hawaii at a luau we met a couple of gay food stylists from NYC. They told us a few of their secrets like how to make old food glisten, prop arrangement, etc. Maybe there's a 2nd job here?

  5. I remember Bambea saying she was more "craftsy" than artsy, though I don't think you have to pick one or the other.

And about the 2nd job..well, if it involves spilt milk, I'm all over it.

Actually, for me it was the title "Mixed Blessing" that reminded me the most of Bambea---something I think I got from that short story you (Mom) had published in Looking Back.
